Torge’s is coming back.
After almost 20 years as Green Mill Restaurant & Bar, the restaurant inside Best Western Fairmont is getting a little nostalgic. On October 20th, Torge’s Bar & Grill will officially reopen its doors and bring a familiar name back to the Fairmont community.
Why Torge’s? Well, sometimes you just know when it’s time to bring back a classic.
TPI Hospitality’s 20-year franchise agreement with Green Mill wraps up in 2026. This gives our team the opportunity to bring back a concept with serious Fairmont roots. By serious, we mean nearly three decades’ worth.
The property first opened in 1978. Long before Green Mill came along, the food and beverage operation was home to several Torge’s concepts. For generations of Fairmont residents, Torge’s wasn’t just a place to grab a bite or a drink. It was where people celebrated, gathered, caught up, and made memories.
“We are incredibly excited to bring the Torge’s name back to Fairmont,” said Jason Subbert of TPI Hospitality. “There is a tremendous amount of history and local connection behind this name, and we recognize how meaningful it is to so many people in this community. Our goal is to honor that legacy while creating a fresh, modern restaurant experience that feels distinctly Fairmont.”
Green Mill Restaurant & Bar will have its final day on October 4. After a two-week refresh, renovation, and a lot of preparation, Torge’s Bar & Grill will officially open Tuesday, October 20, at 4 p.m.
There will be a refreshed space. There will be a brand-new menu. There will be plenty of familiar hospitality.
